I still don't understand that Sprint PCS/Nokia deal

Sprint is a CDMA-only carrier and has been disappointed in Nokia CDMA phones in the past?? How's nokia going to supply Sprint PCS? Does Nokia risk a public relations fiasco it doesn't deal with Qualcomm soon?

Qualcomm shares have been beaten and battered why, could it be that Nokia who refuses to use Qualcomm's CDMA technology would rather acquire QCOM at a wholesale price, about 50billion rather than 150billion from its lofty highs set back earlier this year?

Lets look at the fax:

*CDMA edges TDMA for lead in digital subscribers as TDMA, GSM market share plunge.

*CDMA handset sales pass Analog & TDMA.

*Digital handset share predicts growing CDMA lead in subscribers.

*CDMA-only Sprint is FASTEST growing carrier ever.

*AT&T's share of booming digital market collapses.

Things that make you go hummm.

Just porchin' (and "thinking under the influence"),
