JDN, Patents are considered intangible from an accounting perspective but they do have a tangible benefit to which engineers and marketing people can assign a value to - yes - based upon future expected cash flows. These flows however are more predictable given a knowledge of the patents influence in the market. THis is far more tangible than say engineering talent, ideas, in essence the primordial soup of something yet to come. OG BTW: Once again I take exception with your demeanor. I feel I do understand the issues and your implication that I don't and I therefore shouldn't argue the issues is not acceptable. If you wish to converse I'm happy to do so but please let's not let this deterriorate again. We already get plenty of that on this thread already. You can state your case without making an attack.
