JDN, Lyle>Thats my gripe too. I think we spend too much time talking about AMD and not enough about INTC's products etc.

AMD provides the competition du jour for Intel (and du month and du quarter and du year). So, if there is no AMD talk, how are we to compare, judge Intel and their products, and their execution?

Example, looks like the new Celerons, even though no great shakes technologically, are just what the doctor ordered because of their, and their infrastructure, like mobos, immediate availabilty. This is in contrast with AMD's Durable-on, which is whippier, but needs all that other stuff to make a PC out of it. Right now, with the microprocessor and practically everything else, down to capacitors, in short supply, what the industry needs is something you can ship right away. See, had to compare with AMD to judge Intel's latest chip release.
