Part of the multibillion-dollar package will call for cleaner-burning and more fuel-efficient automobiles. Course, no entrepreneur would think of going after the holy grail of transportation - clean cheap fuel - without "encouragement" from the Federal Government. Amazing that no work is being done on it now. ``The entrenched interests want to protect the status quo and the apologists for these interests say that we simply cannot have a clean environment and affordable energy at the same time.'' Can you say Straw Man? Neat, if you can't beat the real competition, invent one you can.
