i agree, what's with all these moderated threads.

feel like i'm back in college with all the darn fraternities.

am really sad about the whole outcome. what's wrong with just ignoring the posts or telling the poster he/she is full of crap and leave it at that.

or any thread that would bar some people, for that matter. >>

Agreed. I use the ignore feature, but I don't need someone else to choose for me who to ignore.

lt set up a new thread because while he drowned out and bullied intelligent, rational posters who pointed out that he made no sense and was either losing lots of money as a short during this long bull market or lying about being short, a few did post from time to time.
the ignore button serves a useful function. but, it does not obviate the utility of having moderated threads.
but lt and others on his thread make innumerable, repeated, daily useless, non-informative posts and censor others who do not make such posts. a thread is ruined by jott. but lt is the chief culprit. many on his thread spend a lot of time on si. it is important to them; they get a feeling of value from posting; they don't like those who disagree. ho ho ho ho ho ho gfy do not add much to a thread after they are said a few times. once one has called for a market collapse, it need not be repeated many times a day with no additional data
