There are lots of stocks that perform well for short periods of time. I certainly like wireless stuff and there is still a lot of DSL to be deployed, though the market is getting kinda crowded with DSL players. I'm not saying that those stocks shouldn't be played and that they may or may not outperform any given stock, but CSCO and other bellweathers should have a different role in your portfolio.
