Justa, thank you for showing leadership on this thread. Lately I noticed that I had accumulated some unlistened-to Brinker tapes, and that I had been spending more time reading and responding to the posts of Brinker-bashers than listening to his broadcasts. Hmmm...I thought to myself, "What's wrong with this picture?" So, I've decided to release myself from this self-imposed purgatory by skipping the Brinker-bashing posts and instead devoting the time to listening to Brinker. His broadcasts are almost always educational, and I find his reasoning on the markets to be logical and well-thought out. I don't need to waste my time reading the posts of people who put the most negative possible interpretation on everything he says. I don't need to waste my time reading posts which try to psychoanalyze him. I don't need to waste my time reading posts which speculate about his motives or obsess over what he will be able to take credit for. I don't need to waste my time reading posts which relentlessly pound home the same message, day after day after day. And I don't need help in figuring out if he is worth listening to. I can figure that out for myself. I've never been one to uncritically accept everything someone says, and I've been following his work for five years, so I think I can manage it. I have also come to terms with the way the Brinkers manage their web site. I don't go there, or here either, to decide if he is worth listening to, I go there to learn. In that respect I think it is more like a university classroom than a debating society. If I were in a class, I might appreciate the occasional difficult question from a classmate, but relentless attacks on the professor's credibility would eventually be disruptive to the learning process
