eichler, I agree with you. Market perfect for MMs. They are
creating this market.Everybody is off balance, shorts and longs.

I cannot tell you with 100% certainty that we are going down
in the Naz from here.
More likely it is that this volatility will continue.
There are too many interests ( economical and political
to keep the party going ).

So that as you said the best strategy is to short the highfliers and
go long on YOUR hot stocks that are down.

It has nothing to do with investing.
This is poker and Las Vegas I hope we all understand this.

Obviously you need to be very nimble.
And obviously you need to be ready for sudden, bad , news
which are going to be more likely than sudden good news, IMHO.

I would not invest a penny long term except in some medical
stocks or perhaps oil/natural gas.

Good luck. ( Note: I didn't say " good investing " -gg- ).

T.A.

It strikes me that the current trading action is perfect from
a MM's perspective. Just right to keep longs and shorts off-balance. Indecision, fear are at maximum in this type of situation...plenty of opportunities to go wrong either way.
Nothing personal but I hope you are incorrect that NAZ will
now go down. But if you are right, I will not hesitate to
close longs and go short my fav shorting stock (MUSE).
Will watch and see, still think trading range in play and
summer rally still going...
Cheers
Eichler
