My view is that Trimtabs is a leading indicator ~ 2 weeks.
They have two BIG blind spots in their analysis:
1 - Foreign (NON-US) investors.
2 - Online investors (esp margin accounts).

When they are right and there is technical confirmation then they are usually very good. The catch is these two effects can be massive. They got it completely wrong in Sep/Oct 1999 - they were bearish due to the mammoth IPOs but they could not have foreseen the increase in margin borrowing and the Y2K free credit frenzy. I dont believe a word they say until I see technical confirmation.

For US investors USD strength to me implies foreigners buying stock, so if they are bullish, USD strengthens over 1 -2 weeks and I see a bullish divergence then the odds are the selling is slowing / buying is starting. (That sort of thing). I would stick to supports and resistance and keep the analysis in the back of my mind.

- They were bearish last week.
I do not reckon you should use their analysis and anything shorter than a weekly chart as you will be whipsawed every time.
