I beg to differ regarding health care rights..<<It has nothing to do with economics.>> If I compare it to "real rights," I see that economics has an impact on the former but not the latter. The right to pursue happiness is in principle unencumbered by the needs or responsibilities of others. I am allotted that right whether I am living in poverty or a castle. I am the primary actor in the pursuit. The "other" in society can be passive or active in supporting my happiness pursuit. To be given the right to full health care coverage, however, there has to be an economic system and an institution underlying the right. I can in fact be passive, antagonistic, or uncaring about my own health while requiring the "other" to act positively in the care of my health.
