you seem to be among a minority of Last Mile participants .. who take Wi-Lan and W-OFDM seriously. Why ?

Well, First, I still consider it speculative, but it seems to become less so on a daily basis. That is encouraging.

Secondly, I find that sometimes the highly intelligent people on the LM thread like to pull apart an analyze everything to the Nth degree. Its fascinating reading, but not necessarily the best for investment advice. There are hundreds of things that can go wrong and stop W-OFDM in its tracks. Just like there were hundreds of things that could stop cable and Docsis in its tracks. 20 million subscribers by 2004 ain't that bad.

Thirdly, I do not suppose to have the technical knowledge to completely understand how W-OFDM compares with all other technologies. So in that sense perhaps I am not smart enough to dismiss Wi-Lan. That may explain me, but how does that explain Ericsson, Nokia, etc.

Fourthly, they are Canadian, eh!

Regards
Jay

If WIN was commonly discussed on LM then we wouldn't believe in WIN as a disruptive technology for 2001.

To be discussed there it has ( it seems ) to need the traits of established technology struggling for a new niche - in the US market.
