Gregory M.: Another biotech "picks and shovels" play, in addition to PEB and WAT, is a company called Millipore (MIL). Worth a look; solid mid-cap company with long track record in the chemistry/biology/biotech arena.

Greg, Great article. PEB is the only pick and shovel company everyone is recommending. AFFX is for gene chip, best performance among big biotechs in June (up to last Thur, where CRA was #2). For individual gene test, you don't need to sequence the whole genome, but to test the ~50K genes by using the gene chips.

SGMO and WAT, I don't know these two at all.
