yes...but that reminds me of the perpetuum mobile, the free lunch, and like metaphors. somehow it seems a way of doing things that is doomed to run into some kind of natural barrier at some point.
essentially, if you take away the medium of exchange, it's like bartering productive assets (or the claims thereon) for current consumption.

Les, 8 trillion is about the size of the US GDP, so what you are saying they will de-facto own the US.
