hb,

Once again i thank you for posting the url.

Resistance in Latin America: Against the USA fiat dollar...
plata.com.mx

Even as one who is 100% Polish, I could not locate
the country Poland on a map of Europe if only the
boarders were present without the name tags.

Infact I do not know which nations make up that
group called Europe. For example I'm sure France
and Germany are in, but Denmark and Switerland
may not be, and the Balkan place I know not.

So Latin America to me is foggy,
as Mexico may or may not be in it.

Along this line of disclosure,

<<... buy up US assets, i.e. stocks and bonds.
if the bubble, and with it the dollar, goes to hell in
a handbasket you at least own claims on US based businesses
....better than just green paper of which
more gets printed at the drop of a hat.>>

i am confused as i thought that years ago
when Japan had too much money to spend
and brought lots of USA land and buildings
that over time they lost money. Question to
ask if would they have been better buying
US dollars. Since i'm clueless in this area
my question may be invalid, aka dumb.

Your comments on that article are very good ones
that can be discussed on this thread, and i would
like to suggest that Ron Reece comment on your
post so that i can get a sense of where Ron's
own personal thoughts are.

My thoughts on that article were not of the type
you touched upon, as i was more lower level
at the place of where cause and effect of how
the situation came to be to cause such concerns
to exist, rather than a discussion of what to now do
to correct a situation. Mine thoughts are more of a
type to predict outcomes of certain solutions that
can be tried based on how "we got here".

Not to be done, but to me someone from Latin America
could use that article and start a new SI thread for
discussions on how the USA superpower effect
of economy and military changes thru force and
intimidation for better or worst, and what can be done
to counter it or increase it if a good.

No sure but i think Spanish is the language
and i know that there is an SI thread that when
i visited long ago was all written in French and
i think it was French Canadian that was mentioned
as being the posters.

Just a thought, but if there is an SI thread
dedicated towards Latin America then I
would expect that article to have already
been discussed in detail.

In another post i believe you mentioned in regard
to the fact that the USA can create dollars
out of paper and ink at will without concerns
about matching real goods to it since the US dollar
is the best of the lot on planet earth to represent
that thing called reserve something.

<<...like the ultimate free lunch - the only problem
i have is that i always thought there is no free lunch,
but hey, there it is...-g->>

I think it was that fame.org
Dr. Parker & Jay Taylor interview
that mentioned that when one has too much power,
that it is too easy to use it and abuse it.

So most likely those articles at the Le Metropole Cafe
will come to be true, and Lunch may be Free to the USA,
but it will "...end badly."

Once I walked into this diner and discovered that for
an extra $3 i could eat at the "All You Want" buffet
rather than the chosen single serving dinner.

Seemed like a good thing as the buffet not only had
the food type i wanted, but also other food type i
would have picked as another dinner visit.

So there i was, $8 for the specific meal i decided on,
and only $3 for the other meal dinner, and for no extra
cash the food on what would have been my third dinner.

So ate i did, all 3 and as the commercial said
"I can't believe i ate the whole 3 things."
But i did, and yes it ended badly, as once again
"too much is never enough" sometimes is not true.
But i had the power, for only $3, and i abused it.

Just like the USA has the power to create dollars,
its being abused, and will end badly, making the
free lunch not really free of later trouble.

Sometime Free means, don't pay now, but later.
