An excellent interview. I hope his optimism
for a much smaller number on that debt to GDP
turns out to be good call--I think I heard a
blurb about the White House just today doubling
the surplus and backing up debt day a year, to
something around 2010.

<muting cyclicality>
That wouldn't break my heart, like Applegate I
rode my stocks up, and then rode them back down
in April, horrible--I traded out then back in
and avoided a little of the correction, but I had
surreal gains that I should have better protected.

Unlike Applegate I am into biotech, and am not
dazzled by information technology related shares.
I'd have liked to have heard some Lehman biotech picks,
perhaps another day.
