No my time horizon is much longer than anyone on this thread -ng- If I have assessed it correctly. I'm concerned about the equity mkt in the bigger picture. when I say this I'm talking about the next couple of months short term for me is a week, sometimes two or 3. It's very dangerous for me to post anything about the market on this thread, as this is a short-term, traders thread. I would use the trading rules here, which I would distill (to if you have a 5% loss on your trade get out and find a momentum trade that works) and one can make money with that strategy as a trader. My experience with the markets is that the big money is made over the long pull. there are several ways to figure out in which direction the main direction is. You have made the money since 1994 by buying CSCO and holding, you can not find a trader who has made as much oney as buying and holding CSCO as trading it, over the past 6 years. I guess its good to be nimble and quick like Jack. I do not want to be nimble and quick. I have 3-5% or the money that I do that with. In the future when I comment about direction here it will be about the next 1 to 2 days, so you have been a constructive catalyst in hammering home the time frame I should deal in here. thanks for that -ng- one point of verification, I spent more than 30 minutes on the phone with Jorj on Sunday, and I believe I used a phrase very close to this. "This week may be so strong that by this Friday (June 30th) the Market looks golden and ...... (I forget exactly but I think it was, and any thoughts of selling would seem really stupid) I'll await Jorjie's ruling as to if I said anything remotely like this. (Be careful if he says he went to the bathroom during that part of the conversation ala Tenn. AL and the Buddist Temple of Doom) -vbg- John
