To the thread: I would like to point out that my comments are not directed to anyone else on this thread and certainly have nothing to do with any individual's faith. Chris Land posted a message on the Pray for Edwarda thread that was tasteless, cruel and hurtful. The only possible reason that he could possibly have for this action is that he enjoys inflicting pain on people that are already in pain. He rejected my suggestion that he apologize to the thread. In my opinion, his claims of righteousness are hollow and I believe him to by a hypocrite. He is right that his message would have received a much stronger negative reaction and he deserved to be banned from SI permanently in my opinion. This has nothing to do with him claiming to be a Christian, this is about him acting in an evil manner.

Chris, You must understand. When a Christian posts on the "feelings", or the "pray for Edwarda" thread, he could say "I love you all", and they would coil, and strike like cobras. One alone is not enough. They feel that they cannot be effective unless they gang up on anyone that is not as atheistic, agnostic, pagan, or immoral as they are. That is no place for a decent person to visit. Admittedly, there are a few that are decent but they are in the minority, and seem to cater to X and E. ~;=;o --haqi

Dear Chris, I am not aware of what you posted on this thread about Edwarda, however, if we offend someone as deeply as you have apparently done, it is wise to seek forgiveness and explain it was not the intent of your post. If they are right or wrong isn't important the fact is that they are suffering and are wounded by your words. When you are so defensive that can add to the pain IMO. Pray for the Lords wisdom, Nancy

Chris, I read your first post on the PfE thread. I did not find it offensive. As a matter of fact I found it rather civil, as many has posted about their particular belief system. I seen no problem with your posting yours. I do understand why others responded to you the way they did. You came in during their time of concern for a friends life and brought with you all the baggage from previous threads and posts. But you really crossed the line with the second post. Immediately upon reading it, I was one person that requested it be deleted. It was cruel and unkind. You address this thread asking them to be understanding of what happened, by trying to justify your actions. Why don't you tell them the entire story. Tell them that you called the deceased a particular name, and further went on to play God, by announcing where Edwarda would spend eternity. (Which we all know is not information any of us are privy too...as we did not know what was in her heart, or how she spent her last breathing moments.) Not only do we not know, but we are commanded not to Judge. Your actions no way reflected what Jesus would have done. You and I have discussed this via PM's to some degree. It is so tempting to want to post them publicly, which I will not do. I do wonder why you have not replied to my last PM....I am hoping it is because as "Nancy" also suggested in her reply to this message, that you have taken sometime to rethink the post that was deleted and how you handled it. I was glad for your suspension.....You were totally out of line. And it was not just about offending the Non-Christian members of SI...but the Christians as well. You did not glorify the Lord at all in your post. IMHO Next time please ask yourself WWJD Jane
