Re: ...but I don't want no MSI motherboard. Sorry Dan :-)

I've been a fan of Asus for years. But we've had zero trouble with the MSI boards (6167s and 6195s), and I'm starting to really like the 2 gigabyte Abit KA7 too. I did some vectorizing runs at 107MHZ FSB (overclocking the 850 to 910MHZ) and it was solid. The vectorizing runs peg the CPU for several minutes. There were some windows errors when I tried 110 FSB (OC the 850 to 935MHZ). This with 2 gig of PC100 SDRAM loading the system - I normally don't OC systems, even to test, but I wanted to be comfortable with the machine before putting it into production. Besides, why not have a little fun when you get a chance, right?

As an indication of my opinion of Asus, all 4 of my home machines have Asus motherboards.

:-)

Regards,

Dan
