Wow! The news was mind-boggling! Thanks again.......... for the Isle of Avalon link. Too bad the article does not tell of the types of radioactive elements that were found, and so there exists the uncertainty, in the reader's mind, of whether a nuclear or thermonuclear weapon was used (or a combination of the two). My guess is that multiple warheads of the two types of weapons were used. Because the would-be victims prayed in the temples for deliverance, I suppose they had had ample warning regarding their imminent destruction. I would be interested to know whether the people believed (or were led to believe) they were about to be destroyed by divine wrath or whether they knew that a technically-superior superpower was about to annihilate them with a secret weapon.
