Zoltan........

Thank you for your contributions, but you already
have a partisan George board.

I'd rather this board be free of Clinton
or Bush bashing plus glib dismissive comments,
and really try to make an effort to understand proposed
policies pertaining directly to our wallets and
our stocks.

In that vain, I'm a little concerned about money
being taken from the social security system for an
individual to privately invest as he chooses not
because I don't think people should be given the
right to make their own decisions, but
because Social Security isn't really
a "savings" system. Money a 25 year old puts in
through taxes doesn't sit in a bank accruing interest.
That money is immediately transferred to some one
over sixty five.

If too much is transferred, as the population greys,
will Social Security taxes have to be raised to meet
any short falls?

Should any and all money placed in social security
be completely and totally separated from the general
funds, so the social security funds isn't just "IOU's"
as it really is?

Is means testing be implemented or the retirement age
be raised?

Should more money be subjected above the current cap of
$65,000 to the Social Security tax to make this
tax more equitable and less regressive?

These are the types of questions, this forum is
attempting to answer. Again partisanship has its
own thread and place.

Now please be more specific, in either why you
support George W's idea, and why you
don't like Gore's retirement savings plan.

Thanks in advance.
