What is interesting to me is that we've gone from a period of time in which we couldn't see any emerging gorillas to one where there seems to be several to choice from.

However, those emerging gorillas have been on tap and discussed ever since I've been following this thread in 1999. There will continue to be opportunities over the next few decades, but as I said above - it all takes time. This group does an excellent job of weighing the criteria and discussing the candidates as they form and emerge.

Good luck with your Fool seminar.

Thanks. I'm looking forward to it. For those interested, the sign up date ends on June 30th. Here's the link to the Rule Maker home. This link will also allow you to read yesterday and today's Rule Maker look at our gorilla friend Siebel Systems.

I'm looking more forward to Saturday - my last day of work before the annual two month summer vacation. This is the first year in 15 years of professional singing that I can honestly say my voice really needs a rest. I made a mistake of singing on it while sick beginning the first of March and all the way through April. That may turn out to have been one of the biggest mistakes of my life which I will now have to deal with. By some miracle, last night after rehearsal was the first time in two months time that it didn't hurt to swallow and all the pain in my throat went away. I have no idea why it just 'went away', but the relief I feel and the fun I had in rehearsal today lifted my spirits more than I ever imagined. I take it as a good sign that I didn't do any major damage and like gorilla gaming - my voice just needed some time. Regardless, I still need the 2 months of rest to regain my form and trust.

I'll be heading to the states on Sunday and won't have much of a chance to drop in here until the end of August due to the seminar, golf and life in California. I'm looking forward to meeting Uncle Frank for lunch or dinner while I'm in the Bay Area.

I also wanted to thank all of you for the kind words and notes I received in regards to our families' loss of a 19 year old member who was abducted on a bike ride a few weeks ago. Not a single trace, clue or lead turned up other than finding her bike in a ditch 10 miles from where she was last spotted riding it. It's hard to get a sense of closure in a situation like this, but plans are going forward for a memorial service.

Best to all of you for a enjoyable summer.
