FAGAN REPORT HEAVILY CRITICISED
The JVAG Report strongly criticises the FAGAN REPORT (April 1997) which stated:

"Placer gold production will start in June and is expected to amount to about 25,000 ounces for the 1997 season. In excess of 100,000 ounces is the goal for 1998."

The JVAG Report comments that Fagan's figure of 25,000 ounces was 25% higher than any official forecast declared by Java Gold Corporation, and the 100,000 ounces claimed as the goal for 1998 was 400% higher than any official forecasts for the 1998 season.

Careful assessment of the placer deposits and of the equipment indicate that these Fagan forecasts were unattainable.

Investors would have been seriously misled by this article which failed to take account of the information released by the Company.

Anyone who was misled by this issue of the Fagan report and based an investment decision upon it, may have a claim for financial redress against the author and publishers - unless the authors and publishers can demonstrate that the forecasts were published in good faith using information believed to be reliable at the time.
