Fed Funds rate: We heard a lot about this subject and then lately it is mentioned that the rate will NOT be increased tomorrow. In IBD of today, there is an interesting article tell us how the market already figure out that the rate is NOT going to be increased. Here is how it works :

1) go to cbot.com
to get the Monday's close of 93.44 for July contract
2) (100 - 93.44) equates to 6.56 % average fed funds rate
for July.

<<<Since the Fed moves in minimum of quarter-point increments and since 6.56 is 24% of the way in between 6.5 and 6.75 the oddmakers say there is a 24% chance of a quarter point rate hike in August when the Fed next meets">>
