Platinum vs gold? I know why you think it's so! But there is a long term trading play between the two - spreads, etc. So this may have it's own effect on the price of one or both. If the dollar and US financial markets tank gold will benefit - but we won't know for sure until it happens -but at some point gold will represent stability. I don't know how the increase in world stocks of gold compares to the increases in money supply world wide - but assume money supply grows much much faster than gold.
