This article is from today's Miami Herald. The last paragraph illustrates how screwed up things have gotten.

INS agent apparently kills herself
near expressway

STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS

An Immigration and Naturalization Service agent apparently killed herself near
the Don Shula Expressway.

The woman, whose identity was being withheld until police notify her family,
was found dead about 4:17 a.m. today. She was described as a white woman
in her 50s.

Police covered the body with a yellow cloth and left it beside the agent's car,
parked on the shoulder of the Don Shula Expressway under a Florida
Turnpike overpass, well into the morning rush hour as homicide investigators
examined the scene.

Traffic snarled as drivers slowed to look.

According to Miami-Dade police spokesman Ed Munn, the woman did not
participate in the April raid that removed Eli n Gonz lez from the home of his
Miami relatives.
