Re: SI's bogus Terms of Use business has to be the biggest crock in the online universe.

Dan,

Last week I was warned for using offensive language on the Rambus thread. This was in response to jim kelley posting that "if the AMD investors knew about the DDR fiasco, would the stock crash?" He didn't preface this with in my opinion, or something like that. He continues to state that there is a DDR fiasco. Apparently SI has no problems with people posting lies which violate SEC rules, but you better not use offensive language because that is a problem.

Daniel, yes it was Elmer who complained to SI, after bragging how he got him kicked off by lying the first time.

SI's bogus Terms of Use business has to be the biggest crock in the online universe. What a ridiculous game

Dan,

I'm a member of SI from the very beginning, where membership was free and there was no control at all, and I remember a few mails with Brad about a controlled entry and some kind of ruling. My major concern those days was the hyping of small stock by certain people with a "guru" status. I'm sure some of them made a fortune with it those days. This turned into the "Terms of Use" and a controlled membership. Two things which separates us positively from the likes of Yahoo etc.

I also remember the time of the big flamewars between Albert, Elmer, Paul, Yousef and a few others. And I must say, I became so sick of it, I stopped following the AMD thread. Albert was kicked off, most of the others not, which was and still is, unfair. They should have kicked them all off.

I was happy to see Albert back, because he has good sources and a lot of information. He is professionally involved in institutional investing and has access to the very advanced systems, but to some people, he seems to act like a red flag. I haven't complained about him to SI, but I don't want those old flamewars to start again. I planned to PM both Albert and Elmer this evening to get over it, but this seems not needed any more. I still wish they do the same with some other guys.

Bert
