Anindo, i have long contended that the WS analyst community will once again fail to identify the top in the semi cycle...they have never even once caught a top or a bottom in this cycle correctly. bunch of numbnuts...you have to look for small signs, the failed break-outs may well be one.

suddenly beginning to realize that folks will not be able to
borrow money at 7%+ ? to pay for all the toys............

I wonder why the SOX is so weak as well. Breakouts by XLNX
, ADI and some of the leading semis have failed. There
is supposed to be a flash memory shortage with the industry
bieng capacity constrained, yet I see the leading flash
players not bieng able to make much headway like SNDK, SSTi
ATML. I am wondering if the SOX is looking past the peak earnings of this cycle.
