Yes. I spose the reason I didn't think much about what they could do to survive, is because wehn I was young I read a detailed account of the sinking. A book, I forget the name of.

And I have the same feeling about it. It is the ultimate example of how humans suck pigeon guts.

The ship was doomed from the moment of impact, but the human behavior was absolutely embarrassing.

I favor public hangings.

I wonder if any of the people responsible for the fire were ever seriously punished.

I also studied that fire. The photographs are awful. The torture unbelievable.

American capitalism had a lot to answer for. Greed, always does. That fire is the face of human evil.

Well, I don't like to think about those kind of things. They make me bitter. And I am so sweet, you know, that it's just not a good idea.

They're all the same kind of things. The Civil War, WW II invasion of Italy, taking of Peleleu, electing Bush or Gore....

gotta think "Who cares. I I I, am a flower."

I've been outside watering a lot? And I have a thought, that maybe I put on here before, so if I have, I apologize. But I think about it about uhm once a year?

And that is, think if people got wet. If they didn't have skin, or skin that was watertight. I mean people don't say, "Thank goodness my skin is watertight." "It's Bless Our Skin Week."

There is possibly a list, somewhere, of things people take for granted. Don't you think? Someone has worked on that? Put together a list of the most likely, with some more unlikely, less noticed ones in there?

I don't know if this one would be in there; or not.

But it is something that benefits everyone. So it should be.

It's when you think "without it," without waterproofing, that you realize how fantastic it is. Suppose you could get wet ~ soaked even. And spose it was Cold. Ew.

You would sink, instead of swimming. You would have to "dry out," instead of just "off."

If you skin was like cotton. Or spongy. Or mesh, and everything got wet. Thru and thru. "You're soaking wet!"

When you went outside in the rain, you'd need a hat. Showers would have to happen way ahead of time. Like three months, around here.

It's one less thing to worry about. Thank goodness.

"I have dry skin."

So your skin is a suit. A wet suit.

Darn fortunate.

I read somewhere that there actually were enough lifeboats, but that they didn't fill the boats they had.

Examples of why there is so much governmental regulation. Yet there were those who wanted to rely on "competition". After all, why would anyone sail on a ship without enough boat space for everyone; why would anyone willingly work in an unsafe workplace?
