dan, i don't view hitachi's actions as folding. they agreed to pay royalties on patents they don't believe are valid. if they win in court, they will get all or some of their money back. or, at, least, lotsa rmbs warrants ;-)

i heard safeway grocery takes rmbs warrants in lieu of cash ;-)

"What goes around, comes around" is an old and very wise Jewish phrase. RMBS will eventually prove the validity of this saw.

To give the RMBS team its due, they have played their hand in a masterful fashion. The shorts were pounded with one carefully crafted announcement after another and all of those announcements were initially devastating. But now, some disconcerting facts are starting to leak out into the open (like the fact that the Hitachi agreement covers only the short period until their joint venture kicks in next year).

There will be more such revelations.

And as you note, the company has very few friends.
