No posts on this thread since March. Unbelievable. Just checking in, and so far nobody's talking about the (significance or lack thereof) of this news: Spectra-Physics Introduces High-power, Turn-key Raman Fiber Laser for Developing and Testing Telecommunications Components biz.yahoo.com I use SPLI products for my research on solar energy materials, but don't know very much about the Raman laser business. I'd appreciate any comments. BTW, I started a thread on SPLI a little too early, and never got a reply: Subject 32172 Should I contact someone to kill that thread? Randy
