Management has to be clear at all times that they're expected to act in shareholders' best interests. This doesn't mean they'll always be right about their business decisions. In time, Citrix may ultimately prove wise to have shifted its sales to the direct model. Unfortunately, it would be a lot easier to be supportive of management during the downturns without lingering concerns of self-dealing.

Whew! That article about CTXS (did I get it right?) is to the point. I can't disagree with the point, either.
