fact: jdec members agree to disclose development efforts that overlap standard development to participate. rmbs agreed to do this and participated in the standard development.

rmbs: oops, did we not honor our agreement? so, sue us.

hitachi: you want it, you got it.

rmbs is clearly trying to strong arm companies into using their technology. since there is no real interest in rdrm, rmbs desires to dishonor their jdec agreement and, in essence, patent a freely developed standard.

i think this breech of contract could realistically negate all of rmbs' related patent claims. the key word is ALL.

doh! rmbs compete on its own? no wonder rmbs is so desperate! ho ho ho ho ho! ;-)
