Did you know that Charles Haggerty remains the Chairman of the Board of the two WDC subsidiaries, Connex and Sagetree (data warehousing)? That ex-IBMmer knows how to sell a stock when the product development cycle is in his favor. Remember how he turned around WDC and transformed it into the hottest drive maker during the previous up cycle? He kept on buying WDC stock as the industry was coming out of the previous down cycle and raised a lot of capital that way. Of course, WDC was raking in the profits then.
