noj, don't forget, the USA taxes interest earned! So the higher the interest rates, the higher the taxes. Of course, they can't print a lot of money to spend AND get higher interest rates simultaneously.

Capital gains taxes are nice, but maybe not as juicy as interest rate taxes.

I'm with you 100% in principle, but you'll want to hold your cap gains in that environment. I prefer to keep politics off the boards, so that is it for now. We shall have a great discussion at the next annual meeting.
