Paul - RE: "Intel has 2 700 MHz Celeron CPUs - one with 1.65 volt requirement (CPUID 0683h) and the other with 1.7 volts (0686h)." They also have two 600MHz Celerons with one that requires 1.5 volts and one that requires 1.7 volts. One would expect a shrunk version to need the lower amount of voltage, but guess not. "Too bad that the Duron is in such short supply - I guess AMD is back to their Phantom Launches !" It is available. But it has no home, almost nothing to plug into...
