Exactly my point... I now self insure and have insurance only for 'big events' ie. > 5k and pay everything else out of pocket... save tons. How our system ever degraded into a situation where you get reimbursed for a doctor visit is beyond me... I mean common, co-pay $20, is that a joke?

Perhaps they should charge premiums like mutual auto insurance companies. You get a discount for 5 years with the same body with no incidents. You get an additional discount after 10 years of incident-free living. If you're married, you get a discount for automatic incident restraint equipment. And so on...
