Yep, the skiers use a lot of gas. Close to 1 gallon per hour per horsepower. If I used my boat for pulling skiers I'd have to pull in every 2 hours for a 50 gallon refill.

That 50 footer I was on burned 2 gallons per mile at cruising speed.
