Some thoughts on the Discovery interview with Colin Campbell:

I just finished reading the Discover article. While the article was good in giving some of Colin Campbell's background, it dealt exclusively with the controversy over whether milk is harmful or not. There was not a single mention of BioFIT herbs, nor was there a mention of PRLN's website. The only mention we got was in the following sentence:

"He [Colin Campbell] is also president and CEO of Paracelsian, a company that promotes holistic health
and sells assays to measure dioxinlike chemicals and evaluate herbal products."

It would appear that the Discover article is not going to give us the publicity boost that we had hoped for.

However, all is not lost. I suggest that when PRLN gets its website going and is ready to sell its BioFIT herbs that we stockholders can help in promoting the company. The Discover article gives us our first challenge.

The article itself is about five pages long. I hope you get a chance to read it. I plan on writing the magazine requesting a follow-up. I hope others will join me. There are several approaches one can take.

1) The magazine has a one-page Letters section featuring short responses to the articles written. This article was exclusively devoted to the milk controversy. I suggest writing a letter mentioning that those readers who are interested in reading more about the milk controversy including articles written by Colin Campbell should read through the archives of New Century Nutrition at
newcenturynutrition.com

I wish we could mention the TCM pharmacy website, but it is not directly relevant to the article. Hopefully, visitors to the New Century Nutrition site will find their way to the TCM site.

Those who want to write a letter should send it to

2) The article, "Worrying About Milk", was written by contributing Editor Will Hively. I suggest writing to Dr.
Hively suggesting that he follow this up with a look at the herbal industry and at the BioFIT program in particular. I don't know if he would write a followup, but I am under the impression that he has a positive view of Campbell. There are blurbs about the contributors at the front of the magazine. Here is what Hively's blurb says:

"While interviewing Colin Campbell, the biochemcist and nutrition researcher at the center of this month's story about milk . . .Hively found that his understanding of the scientist changed profoundly. "He seemed at first to be very agitated with strong feelings about nutrition and diet," says Hively. "But after a while I started sensing that he was just very committed to speaking the truth as he saw it. He seemed courageous to me. He doesn't see anybody else willing to talk about what he has learned so he figures
he has to do it."

So if anyone wants to write to Mr. Hively, they can do so at the address given above.

I'd like to say a word as to the timing of when we should write letters. I suggest we should wait a while. If we all started writing immediately it would look like we were too eager. Something would smell funny if they received a bunch of letters almost immediately after the magazine hits the stands.

I also suggest we should wait for a while for another reason. PRLN doesn't have its expanded site up yet
and visitors to our site are not yet able to purchase herbs. I can't see anyone writing an article about BioFIT herbs if there is no such beast available for purchase. Before writing a letter to Dr. Hivey suggesting a story about the herbal industry would be a good followup, let's make sure that there are some BioFIT herbs to sell.
