NOK down 2 1/8 on an up day. I am afraid NOK's 3G problems are going to take the stock down if they don't outline a solution to their problems in a hurry. Finnish investors may not realize how fast things change in the high tech arena, but US investors understand this very well and are quite capable of taking this stock to $30 if the company's mgt doesn't react to a looming catastrophie.

In an industry where being 6 months behind is considered terrible, NOK's CEO admits that they are 18 months behind. In short, NOK can't make 2nd generaton CDMA work while in Japan, Korea and the US, operators are installing 3rd generation 1X MC and QCOM has HDR waiting in the wings. This means NOK is an much as 2 generations behind and both clueless and patentless. They really gave only one solution no matter how proud they are of their past successes. That solution is to come to terms with QCOM, the master of CDMA.
