Don't worry, Chris.
Some people from very bad threads have people marked you so that every time that you open that big mouth, we will know it. How could we not? After all, when you consider that of all the Christians in the world....you know...Eastern Orthodox, Catholic, and the constellation of Protestant sects and subsets, how could we not mark the one person that has a direct line to God? Still got me on ignore?
Warm fuzzies at ya,
lee

Chris, if I was not a Christian and happened upon this thread, is their anything in your behavior that would make me want to follow your Lord...

My personal belief is that she fit the description of those bound for an eternity without God and it is safer to err on the side that she went to hell than to deceive people into believing God will accept anyone based upon their own merits.

This is, of course, your personal belief. And you, like the rest of us, are a mere human being and might well be wrong, I'm sure you would admit. Particularly since you had, I believe, only a superficial knowledge of the lady in question based on a few exchanges of hostile and critical posts (see #69920 on the Feelings thread and the preceding and following strings of posts as an example). You seem to be very quick to make a judgment on little real knowledge.

Also, the fact is that the relationship you had with the lady was not just superficial but hostile. This gives me grounds to suspect that your post immediately following her death to her grieving friends was simply a chance to get a last shot in at someone you disliked and simultaneously hurt her friends whom you also dislike. In fact, I can't imagine you had any other real motive.

Let me ask you - do you engage in behavior like this in real life? When you attend a funeral or visit a funeral home to pay your respects, do you make a point of going up to the grieving family and loved ones to share your judgment that their loved one is now burning in hell? In fact, have you EVER done that?

BTW, I know of an example where a minister did precisely that.

Good Evening, Chris,
Are we thread of the week yet? Seems as if you got into a hornet's nest and they tracked you over here.

I once read that during an airplane crash, as they fell from 33,000 feet, the Christians aboard the flight sat and prayed to God in a very convincing manner. Buy strangely enough, the ones aboard who were not born again Christians, began to swear and take God's name in vain because it was obvious that they were going to die an untimely death. They had time to cry out to God for forgiveness but never did so.

Was it true?

From a survivor

The death of a lost soul is always so sad. It seems that many death bed experiences would also end this way, although to a lesser degree.

I wished it held true more often that a person would cry out to God but after a life time of denying Him, it would seem so hypocritical.

I think that a mind and body that runs from Jesus for a life time is hardened and in no mental condition to have a spiritual awakening.

This is, after all, God's Judgement. He doesn't enjoy it but He must be an embodiment of absolutes and truth.

After all, while man proposes, God disposes.

Romans 8

"1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,£ who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God."

All we need to do is to go to the Bible, as you know. Many talk trash on the fly without going to the Holy Word for right thinking. I know that you are hanging tough through the One who has brought favor and grace into your spirit.
