Qualcomm announcement may just be information instead of actual opinion about fourth quarter earnings overall.

clubs.yahoo.com
"Bloomberg during their NASDAQ update they said that Mark Roberts heard from other vendors selling into Korea that demand had slowed and that he had contacted Qualcomm yesterday to see if they were also seeing a slow down. Apparently they said yes and would have had to disclose that information to the public as well. It sounded like they were forced to release the info rather than choosing the time."

<<...he said they have been behind in the CDMA business, and plan to win big (by using Q chips).>>

samim: he didn't say the part in parentheses, you did.

Samim - we confirm last week that NOK/Telson will be buying and using Q chipsets and today that Q anticipates the possibility of a falloff in SK chipset purchases next quarter. Frankly, I don't know how to reconcile these two, seemingly conflicting, or at least ambiguous, statements. My concern short term would be alleviated if I heard from Q that the Telson orders will more than make up for this shortfall. But I haven't seen anything on this. So, when do sets ship to Telson, and at what rate? Best, John
