There is no evidence of that. The system you deride is the system that released the innocents.

Actually, statistics prove that more innocents will be killed by convicted murderers who are spared the death penalty than by any imagined number of "innocent" murderers executed by the state under the present system.

Therefore, if anti-death penalty people have their way they should share responsibility for the result of their primitive reasoning - those greater number of murders.
