Re: Volume should be very low on Monday

Pravin,

I think the market is closed both Monday and Tuesday. You might have to make your buy on Friday. Can anyone confirm this?

Semiconductors: Second Quarter Preview
..................................................
____________________________________________________________________________
Advanced Expected
Micro FY Quarterly EPS 2Q00E Full-Year EPS Reporting
Devices RTG End 2Q00E vs 2Q99 Cons. 2000E vs 1999 Date
(AMD) BUY Dec $1.22 $(1.08) $1.13 $5.55 $(2.15) 7/19

We believe a booming flash market, some supply constraints at Intel and
strong microprocessor product offerings will again contribute to above-
consensus EPS results for AMD. We believe the extremely profitable flash
business will be a big contributor and are forecasting 12% sequential growth
in flash memory revenues to $365 million this quarter (or 32% of sales).

Nonetheless, the focus will likely remain on the Athlon processor. We are
forecasting 1.8 million units versus 1.2 million last quarter. We are
forecasting 4.5 million K6 units versus 5.3 million last quarter. With an
overall ASP forecast of $93 (versus about $90 last quarter), we believe total
microprocessor revenues could reach $585 million. For the quarter, we are
estimating $1.15 billion in total revenues for AMD and EPS of $1.22, but
believe our above-consensus estimates may still prove conservative. We
reiterate our BUY rating and $120 price target.
