Who (recently) said July?

But don't confuse Itanium with high-end servers. The
next AlphaServer (non-NDA to me) will be 64 CPUs , EV7
variety... 100 GB/s aggregate memory bandwidth and
28 GB/s I/O bandwidth (pretty certain on both numbers).

1 Terabyte or more memory.


I don't expect Intel to challenge those type numbers until at least McKinley, probably later than that. You can't go from Welterweight to Heavyweight on the first product.
