Thanks, Ray. I read that article when it was first published and got a laugh.

The shared bandwidth idea is a turnoff, particularly when the overhead is applied. Lightreading was generous and failed to include it.

I am still astonished that Lucent, with its recent stumble, would enter into such a venture.

I have no doubt that it would work. But Terabeam appears pretty lame and has a limited market.
