I am smoking a Marlboro and drinking a Pepsi. It was not a "60s tirade" but more from the era of the Great Awakening (the era of our Founding Fathers) or, perhaps even the Renaissance -- you remember that, don't you? It ended Europe's Dark Ages, a time when the christian church and Inquisition ruled...

Hmmmm... I missed this the first time around. Guess it was because I was busy doing some real work. Anyway, your aside got me to thinking along parallel societal lines:

and I have already had what you are smoking....but I grew....

Since I was never part of the drug (or alcohol) culture, I almost forgot that the 60s freaks later repented and started the Jesus Freak movement. Some of them stalled out, the rest became Yuppies or blue collar time card punchers. Then in the 90s the neo-capitalists emerged while others advanced the "born again" lunacy from the 80s.

Guess you must have been stalled out in the 70s or are an 80s born againer... either way, a repentant primitive.

Hope you find a nice, warm cave, as John Galt used to so fondly say.
