I just turned on the tube to see this guy Snyder saying that QCOM holders should get out here, they'll be able to get back in at lower prices.

Tell me this guys job is not to drive the QCOM price down.

I see this guy's ever present negative view as a real long term positive. His firm really, really wants your shares.

Hi Jim,

I've been following the rumor trail over there. Rumors suck. It seems folks get their undies all bunched up when they don't materialize. Sad thing is that most rumors end up with large deposits of yellow & brown stained rags in the landfill & reduced equity in the brokerage account.

If there is a deal with Ford, IMO, it will be a telmatics deal, much like the GM/Onstar/Bell Atlantic deal. FWIW, the Onstar deal will use QCOM too, since Bell Atlantic/Verison is CDMA. At best, that would mean 1 or 2 million ASICS per year & a lesser share of new subs to the Q after the product rolls out (that will take time to implement too). I'm not too excited about the impact on QCOM IF that rumor pans out. Don't get me wrong. Any new source of ASIC's sales & new subs is great, but a Ford telmatics deal does not seem overly significant for the Q's war chest.

BTW, Ruffian has been hinting at a NOK/QCOM rumor over there as well (actually the rumors have morfed into NOK being part of the Ford deal too, but there seems to be more than one thing going on per Ruff's sources). If I understand the cryptic musings correctly, it will present itself in the next few days, maybe next week. That would have considerably more impact if true (that is if it is a NOK/QCOM 3G license & ASIC's deal). Ruff is taking serious flack over his opinions & musings over what his sources have told him.

A significant NOK/QCOM ASIC's deal would be a true facial for Snyder.

I hate rumors/Tim
