Capt Kirk;

You are ignoring the risk and the higher spread % (affecting trading profits) IMHO. If anything gives the impression that the buyout will take longer, the gap will increase significantly. I do not think the gap will close much in the next 3 weeks. Also, if you trading a larger position, and say want to unload it during a Semicon feeding frenzy over a short period of time, good luck. IMHO, the gap is too small given these factors.

Best Regards,

ps. Disclosure - I'm very long MTSN and have no CFMT at this moment.

Capt. Kirk, The gap you refer to could very well be closed by MTSN's price declining to its support level of 27. It is not a sure thing that MTSN will stay at 33, especially given that CFMT's operating results look to me to be much less than stellar. Further, the market doesn't like uncertainties and there are plenty of uncertainties in this equation. Long term, I trust Brad's judgement but he may well have inhibited MTSN's appreciation potential during a significant portion of this dynamic cycle. (Take a look at what the Time Warner acquisition has done to AOL's stock price.) Frankly, if I had owned CFMT, I would have sold it yesterday on the news. I doubt it will go much higher in this treacherous market. FWIW, Phil
