More info on Willy (P4) intro is in this new article on the "naming" which I found on JC's page ( jc-news.com )

Its in the same German magazine:
tecchannel.de

It says that the chip itself (1.3 and 1.4 GHz) will be introduced ("Vorstellung mit 1,3 und 1,4 GHz im September erfolgen wird") in September, but that PC's containing the chips would not be available until October.

This would explain Intel's insistence on "2nd half" rather than "4th quarter" in its press release on the "naming ceremony."

McManic - Re: "That would have been a redesign before Intel figured out RAM was a BUST"

RAM was a Bust ?

How many Rambus systems are shipping for PCs vs. DDR SDRAM systems?

Does that make DDR SDRAM a DDRSaster ?
