Ike,, I would now expect the XAU to underperform gold. I wouldn't exactly think that that is a reliable indicator. As a matter of fact I think that the xau's underperformance could be construed as bullish for the yellow metal. It only signifies that the herd ain't looking or ain't interested. Don't most bulls start with total disbelief?
I'm not saying that this is the beginning of a bull run in gold, but I would definitely hazard a guess as to this is how it will look.
